Description

On 27th October 2015 we welcome back Andrew Hamilton. Many of you will recall the excellent talk which he gave last year on the Christmas truce during the First World War, we were very fortunate to have Andrew at our society as the nation commemorated 100 years since the start of the War. Andrew has collaborated with Alan Reed and they have written three books on the Great War, one of which is entitled Stolen Lives - Individual Tragedies of the Great War – this is the title of his talk this year and it tells the personal stories of the soldiers "who gave their lives for King and Country."
