Memories of George Riley - Ex-pupil 1990s

I have many happy memories of my time at St Kenelm's but the one that sticks in my mind was The Ramble. This took place during May, usually on a Friday evening. All the family could take part, following clues round Ell Wood. Afterwards there was a BBQ, etc. in the playground.

BUT the highlight for me was.... sliding down the bank on the school field with my mates. By the end of the evening not a blade of grass was left where we had been and collectively we looked like a gang of Victorian street urchins. When I went into school to go to the toilet, Mrs Finnie was in the corridor. As I walked past she leaned forward, peered at me and gasped "Is that George?"

Such a happy time!
